My view of this picture is a stripper/hooker standing among her aborted children too proud and young to have one as her own.

The reason I don't believe in Kali Yuga...the oak is not fallen from the acorn.

By any measure we are living in the most evolved world humans have ever known. If they doubt it, let them take a stroll back through history and see the ways we become increasingly savage the further back in time we go.

Not only individually, but collectively, we have grown incredibly in consciousness over the eons. A good man said, "If we are going to take the most sophisticated view possible, we have to account for the fact that...dirt got up and wrote poetry."

We are not slaves in ancient Rome. We are not being sacrificed in a brutal Mayan ritual. We are not burning Christians at the stake. We are not stoning people. We do not own human beings any longer and it took a long time to end the practice of slavery. We have a black President. Biology is no longer destiny for women. We do not inhabit the so-called "Golden Age" of Greece where many human beings were slaves and women and children might as well have been. In so many ways we are enjoying the greatest quality of life humans have ever known. No Spanish Inquisitions. No witch-trials. No human-sacrifices to appease mythic deities. We do not execute our philosophers and religious leaders anymore for expressing different and opposing views, like they used to do all over the world. We live in a world so nice in fact, most people can't even comprehend beheading or burning someone.

To me, being truthful means not just telling the bad news of the world, but also the good news. Every age has its good news/bad news and our time is no different. The bad news does not abolish the good news, especially the great news of our time.

We take for granted how truly fortunate we are to live today. We no longer die from a bad tooth. We live much longer. We are far happier. We have electricity, heating, plumbing, stores to buy food instead of hunting animals. We watch Oprah Winfrey instead of Gladiators murdering each other.

"We were not thrown out of the garden...we grew legs and walked out." And like it or not, through some incredible process...here we all are! In the Dark Ages we could not post our art online, and if such technology existed back then we would be executed brutally for doing it. Back then the Church and state were one and to express "wrong" view meant serious penalties, often death. So we are pretty blessed to inhabit this time, to live today and not yesterday, to know the oak is not a sin against the acorn.

Blessings into your world :)
